About:

Suman Roy, son of the eminent artist Suhas Roy, spent his childhood in the peaceful and natural environs of Santiniketan. This period had a profound influence on him as seen in the depiction of nature in his early works. He adopted a simple style as he thought that it was unfair to trap a viewer in a multitude of technicalities. Single human beings-mainly males made him introspect. His mission became to reach out to the viewer and bought realization to the fact that contemporary art movement in India was not integrated. His style is simple as he confident that the so called technical jugglery does not lead the viewer to any point of contentment.
